Here’s a quick project you can do to get a few extra rounds easily at your fingertips.
I hunt mainly with single round weapons.
My .22lr is no exception and I was thinking “wouldn’t it be nice to have a few rounds at my fingertips” and so the carrier/tab was born.
I tie the tab securely to my sling or to my haversack strap for easy access.
This is a project you can make with only a few simple tools shown below.
- Strip of leather
- Ruler
- Leather hole punch
- knife
- pencil
Mark the leather as shown.
Cut the leather into a rectangle, then punch 7 holes as shown.
Six of these holes are for you .22LE shells.
The other is for the lanyard.
This is your finished product, and the customizations you can make are endless!
You can see the possibilities for shells of various sizes.
