Toby Hobby was born and raised in Small town Pontypool South Wales UK.
He grew up playing in the local woods and progressed to the foot hills and forests of the Brecon Beacons national park.
Personally Inspired by the early American frontier and mountain men of the 18th and 19th century.
Toby began working with leather to produce frontier themed items for myself and started making items to sell in 2016.
Today its mainly sheaths, belt pouches and haversacks and a few smaller item such as repair kits and journal covers.
Today, Toby Hobby “RedKite Leatherworks”….is a one man operation from sourcing materials to packing and shipping.
The last 2 years have seen me start venturing to Ireland to spend time in the Mourne Mountains learning more in the way of hiking as well as the bushcraft and survival aspects I’ve always been interested in.
Thank you for your Interest in sharing your skills and craft.
