Feathers need not be split or of wings to be effective on arrows.
GASP!
Take a look at the picture.
Lashed like this, even the tail feather can be used.
The advantages of this style are:
- You could use only 1 or 2 feathers,
- Only one length of wrap is needed to secure,
- The top is free to be pushed to one side or the other to clear the arrow shelf, and
- The archers hand or other arrows aren’t fighting for room in a quiver!
